School Age

We recognize navigating and planning for a child’s success can be overwhelming.  We also recognize it’s never too early to begin looking at your options and planning for adult life.

Children
Ages 6-13

Service Support Administrator’s (SSA) support children eligible for services with Developmental Disabilities of Clark County . Staff have daytime office hours M-F and may adjust schedules to support after-hour needs.

Services include:

  • Attend the child’s school IEP meetings
  • Identify the child’s strengths ,needs, and link to community resources.
  • Check in regularly to discuss updates, changes, and successes
  • Eligibility

    Transition to Adulthood

    Service Support Administrator’s (SSA) help to identify and connect families to resources beginning to focus on life after school and into adulthood. The focus is linking resources, employment, and social activities that empower students to reach their potential.  Staff have daytime office hours M-F and may adjust schedules to support after-hour needs. 

    Services include:

     

    Age 14

    Work collaboratively with the IEP team and partners to help create the vison of the person’s future.

    Age 16-21

  • Work with IEP team to firm up plans for what the person will do after graduation, including employment, social opportunities, independent living and community interests.
  • Determine the needs of the person and work to find community resources to support those needs
  • Check in regularly to discuss updates, changes, and successes
