Golden Leaf Awards Speaker 2018

Chris Lucas is a professional actor, author, historian, and motivational speaker.

In his thirty year career as an actor, Chris has appeared in several co-starring and featured roles on television, in movies, in video games and on stage including such shows as “As The World Turns,” “MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch,” “One Life To Live,” “Medieval Times,” “Cake Boss,” “Spin City,” and “30 Rock.”

Chris is also the co-author of the best-selling book “Seeing Home: The Ed Lucas Story” – released by Simon & Schuster and Derek Jeter Publishing in April 2015, and soon to be adapted into a major motion picture. It’s the story of his father, Ed Lucas, who had to overcome several obstacles including blindness, discrimination and the battle to win custody of Chris and his brother back from the courts after they took them away simply because he was disabled. Despite all this, Ed has achieved his dreams and has enjoyed a 60 year career as an Emmy winning broadcaster. Chris has had a front row seat for most of it and shares his father’s story in a moving way.

An expert on all things Disney, Chris’ admiration for Walt, and the company he built, led him to create a one person show called “Of Mouse and Man,” which has been performed at several colleges, theaters and civic centers. His latest book, “The Top 100 Top Ten of Disney,” will be published by Globe Pequot/Rowman & Littlefield in 2018.

Chris has been profiled in People Magazine, USA Today, Soap Opera Digest, Newsweek, NBC’s Today Show, the New York Times, and several other national publications.

He lives in suburban New Jersey with his two young sons.
